Shenzhen-based LimX Dynamics has raised an undisclosed amount in a funding round led by <a href="/company/jd">JD.com</a>. It plans to begin public sales of its full-size <a href="/industry/robotics">humanoid robot</a> in the second half of 2025. The two companies will also explore applications in logistics, retail, and services, as LimX scales production and rolls out a new <a href="/industry/ai">AI</a> training system based on video data.

Chinese enterprise Horen has raised RMB 130 million in a Series F funding round led by Timesbole to expand full-chain packaging solutions in China and speed up global rollout. The firm aims to scale its green supply chain and smart manufacturing amid mounting compliance pressure from EU and US trade rules.

Zhejiang led GDP growth among China’s six largest provinces in H1 2025 at 5.8%, lifted by strong industrial and export performance. Jiangsu and Henan followed at 5.7%, while Guangdong trailed at 4.2%, weighed down by falling investment and sluggish industrial and consumer activity.

Unitree Robotics has begun IPO counseling with China’s securities regulator, with CICC as lead sponsor. The company may file as soon as October and is expected to target the STAR Market. Unitree focuses on general-purpose humanoid and legged robots and has reported consistent profits since 2020.

UBTech Robotics has secured a RMB 90.5 million order from Miyi Automotive Technology for its Walker S robots, the largest contract signed with a single supplier in China for <a href="/industry/robotics">humanoid robotics</a> to date. The deal highlights growing industrial demand and comes amid a wave of large-scale procurement.

Goertek Microelectronics has refiled its listing application with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Joint sponsors include CICC, CSCI, CMB International, and UBS. The chipmaker first sought a Hong Kong IPO in 2023 but did not proceed at the time.

<a href="/company/tencent">Tencent</a> remained the top holding among China’s active mutual funds as of Q2 2025, followed by <a href="/company/catl">CATL</a> and Kweichow Moutai. <a href="/company/xiaomi">Xiaomi</a> and Eoptolink entered the top ten, while <a href="/company/byd">BYD</a> and Wuliangye dropped out. Baijiu stocks saw the largest sector-wide outflows during the quarter.

Stargate, a USD 500 billion <a href="/industry/ai">AI</a> infrastructure project announced by <a href="/company/openai">OpenAI</a> and SoftBank at the White House earlier this year, has yet to secure a data center deal. Internal disagreements have stalled progress, with the partners now aiming to build a single site in Ohio by year’s end, scaling back earlier ambitions.

Netflix is testing generative video tools from Runway AI in content production, a source said. Disney has also trialed the solution but said it has no plans to adopt it. The update adds to growing scrutiny over <a href="/industry/ai">AI's</a> use in film production, as studios weigh cost and speed gains against labor concerns.

<a href="https://kr-asia.com/all-in-your-head-what-you-should-know-about-neuralink-and-brain-computer-interfaces">Neuralink</a> said it completed brain implant surgeries for participants codenamed P8 and P9, the first time it performed two procedures in a single day. Both are reportedly recovering well, the company said on X. The update follows earlier FDA-approved human testing and initial trial setbacks.

<a href="/company/jd">JD.com</a> has denied a media report that it acquired 70% of Hong Kong grocer Kai Bo Food Supermarket for HKD 4 billion. The report claimed the deal included store and property assets, with founder Lam Hiu-ngai staying on for three years. JD.com called the report inaccurate and misleading.
