Hailiang refiles for Hong Kong IPO

Tencent Cloud has launched DataBuddy, an agent-native platform for data engineering, governance, analytics, and data science. The service combines data infrastructure with AI agents and is available in markets including China, Thailand, South Korea, and Indonesia, with further international expansion planned.

Contemporary Amperex Technology (CATL) began trial production at its new battery cell plant in Debrecen, Hungary, on September 22. The first two production lines are being tested and optimized ahead of full-scale manufacturing. Once fully completed, the site is planned to have 100 GWh of annual capacity, making it CATL’s largest production base outside China.

ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) announced mass production of its fifth-generation DRAM technology platform on September 20. The company said the new process increases die output per wafer by at least 50% compared with the previous generation. LPDDR5X products based on the platform are aimed at mid- to high-end smartphones and other mobile devices.

Ant Group has merged its Alipay, digital payments, and Zhima Credit operations into a new Alipay business group. Wu Minzhi will lead the unit while continuing to serve as chief people officer. The restructuring is intended to strengthen merchant services and accelerate Ant’s push into AI-driven commerce.

Unitree Robotics launched the Dex5-S robotic hand on September 21. The human-scale device has 22 degrees of freedom, weighs about 620 grams, and supports a maximum load of two kilograms. Prices start at RMB 39,900, while the Pro version adds tactile sensing.

IM Motors opened presales for its new LS6 SUV, starting at RMB 209,900, ahead of an official launch on September 23. The vehicle features a steer-by-wire chassis, Neo electric architecture, and a Level 2 driver assistance system powered by technology derived from an Level 4-capable model architecture.

Contemporary Amperex Technology (CATL) completed three share buybacks in September, spending about RMB 1.6 billion in total. The company announced a RMB 20–40 billion repurchase plan in July, with the shares to be canceled to reduce total share capital.

GAC Group opened a knocked-down assembly plant in Kampong Chhnang, Cambodia, on September 17 through a partnership with TH Group. The facility has planned annual capacity of 10,000 vehicles and will assemble models including the Empow, Emkoo, GS8, and GN8.

Bilibili completed a USD 500 million convertible senior notes offering due in 2031. The company also completed a concurrent repurchase of about USD 100 million of its shares. Proceeds will support AI-driven growth, other corporate purposes, and related share repurchases.
