China trade up 2.4%, driven by exports

China’s total trade reached RMB 14.1 trillion in the first four months of 2025, up 2.4% YoY. Exports rose 7.5% while imports fell 4.2%. April alone saw a 5.6% increase, led by export growth of 9.3%.
