Solar AI raises USD 1.5 million in seed funding for regional expansion

The Singapore-based solar photovoltaics startup has raised USD 1.5 million in a seed funding round led by Earth Venture Capital, with participation from Undivided Ventures, Investible, and climate tech angel investor David Pardo.

The funds will help drive Solar AI’s expansion of its rent-to-own solar initiative in Singapore, with further plans to expand regionally in the next 12 months.

Dipp raises USD 1.5 million to launch generative AI features for e-commerce brands

The brand technology startup has raised USD 1.5 million in a seed funding round. The investors that participated include venture accelerator SparkLabs Taiwan, venture capital firm Palm Drive Capital, and content technology company Tezign.

Dipp will use the funds to accelerate the development of AI-powered features designed to automate repetitive design operations and create new efficiencies in team collaboration. —TechFundingNews

Alva secures USD 50 million in Series B round for electric two-wheeler expansion

The Indonesian electric two-wheeler manufacturer has concluded a Series B funding round, raising USD 50 million. The round was led by Horizon Ventures, with participation from Indika Energy, HH-CTBC Partnership LP (Foxconn Co-GP Fund), and family office Brama One Ventures.

The newly acquired funds will be directed towards ALVA’s product development efforts and the expansion of its network to reach a broader consumer base in Indonesia. —DealStreetAsia

The Singapore-based market intelligence and sales tech platform has raised USD 10 million in its seed funding round. Investors that participated in the round include Celtic House Venture Partners, UpHonest Capital, and Hat-Trick Capital. —TechCrunch

Veda VC, ZEROG, and ECHINT led yesterday’s headlines:

  • Veda VC, an early-stage venture capital fund based in Bangalore, has completed the first close of its fund at INR 2.5 billion (USD 30 million). The fund aims to invest between USD 250,000 and USD 1.25 million in technology and tech-enabled ventures across sectors like consumer applications, SaaS, fintech, and deeptech, focusing on early-stage investments from seed to pre-Series A stages.
  • ZEROG, a China-based electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft developer, raised nearly RMB 100 million (USD 13.7 million) in a strategic financing round led by Nanjing Communication Engineering Co Ltd. The funds will be used for R&D, test flights of the ZG-T6 model, mass production, and airworthiness certification of other models.
  • ECHINT, a China-based advanced integrated circuit packaging and testing company, secured around RMB 1 billion (USD 137 million) in a Series B funding round from several investors.
