The Mumbai-based firm made a profit of USD 24.4 million in the financial year ended March 31, 2020—a big jump from the USD 11.7 million loss it made a year earlier.

The 13-year-old Tiger Global-backed company is the largest gaming platform in India, with a nearly USD 5 billion valuation.

Founded in 2008, Dream11 was the first Indian gaming startup to become a unicorn in 2019.

This round will value Dream11 at around USD 4 billion.

The investors who KrASIA spoke with said, in the hindsight, there has never been a better year for tech startups than 2020.

Tiger Global has invested in 23 Indian technology companies last year.
