Over 100 patients were seen in Huangguang, Hubei on Monday by doctors in another province.

West China Hospital in Sichuan province has applied 5G technology to conduct remote CT scans on COVID-19 cases in Huangzhou General Hospital in Huanggang, Hubei province on Monday, local media outlet Communication Information News reported.

This 5G-based remote system was deployed to tackle the shortage of people operating CT equipment in Huangzhou General Hospital.

Through 5G transmission, doctors in West China Hospital were able to control the scanners in Huangzhou General Hospital, as well as view data and imaging in real-time in order to diagnose patients. A total of 106 coronavirus patients in Huanggang were seen by doctors remotely on Monday alone.
