World Bank President Jim Yong Kim and Alibaba’s Jack Ma started a dialogue entitled ‘Disrupting Development’ at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank annual meetings in Nusa Dua at Bali on October 12, 2018.
Jack Ma said, “I was in awe seeing Africa for the first time last year. Africa is young and fearless. The world is now worrying about the future, but Africans are very energetic. They are sincere and wants change.” Ma said, “Africa’s Internet infrastructure is poor but has limitless potential. The government wants to change, young people want to change, and we want to invite 1,000 entrepreneurs to come to our university in HangZhou to study so that we can help them change.”
