Xiaohongshu debuts open-source LLM

RedNote, known in China as Xiaohongshu, has released its first open-source LLM, a 142-billion-parameter model using a cost-focused mixture-of-experts design. Built by its Humane Intelligence Lab, the model reportedly avoids synthetic data and outperformed peers in Chinese tasks. The firm is expanding globally and eyeing a potential IPO.
