The Indian hotel operator now has partnerships in place with both of China’s two largest online travel agencies.

Hotel chain OYO has partnered with Meituan Hotels, the hospitality service housed under the eponymous Meituan platform, reports Sina Tech.

The cooperation will see enhanced integration of OYO hotels on Meituan’s platform, with the latter also providing user traffic, data, and brand promotion support to OYO.

The Indian hotel operator now has partnerships in place with two of China’s largest online travel agencies, following yesterday’s announcement of OYO’s partnership with Ctrip.

Meituan reported 78.6 million hotel nights booked on its platform in the first quarter of 2019, an increase of 30% year-on-year. The company also set a record in China’s travel industry last New Year’s Eve by booking over 2 million domestic hotel room nights.

This record-setting day came after Meituan surpassed Ctrip, China’s largest online travel agency, by total volume of hotel room nights in the first half of 2018, according to data compiled by TrustData.

Meanwhile, OYO claims to be the largest single-brand hotel chain in China, with nearly 10,000 hotels and 450,000 rooms spread across 320 Chinese cities.
