Gojek has officially made its digital insurance service GoSure available to users today. The firm is partnering with Indonesian insurtech startup PasarPolis to provide a range of products for millions of Gojek users.
GoSure’s beta was went live in July 2019. The feature currently offers travel insurance products, as well as motor vehicles and mobile device protection.
According to an official statement, thousands of policies have been sold through GoSure since October 2019, showing high demand in this segment. Sony Radhityo, head of third-party platform at Gojek, said that the partnership with PasarPolis shows Gojek’s commitment to deliver greater value to consumers. “Through the launch of GoSure, we seek to provide consumers with better protection and greater peace of mind when they go about their daily lives—all it takes are a few clicks on the Gojek app,” he said.
GoSure is not the first insurance product offered by Gojek, as the company released GoProteksi in 2017, also in collaboration with PasarPolis. Gojek is one of the investors of PasarPolis, which offers more than 100 micro-insurance products on its platform.
In an interview with KrASIA last year, PasarPolis’ CEO Cleosent Randing said that his firm will provide niche insurance services in the GoJek ecosystem, including cinema and event ticket cancellation coverage for users who purchase tickets via GoTix.
