Indonesia-headquartered tech giant Gojek appoints a tech veteran George Do as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
Do will oversee the security of the company, including its portfolio of apps, products and services. He’ll also be accountable for Gojek’s overall information security strategy and management of governance, risk and compliance, according to an official statement.
According to Do’s Linkedin page, he started his career at Nasa (the National Aeronautics and Space Administration) at its Ames Research Center in California as Information Security Engineer where he led security incidents investigations, performed risk assessment and penetration tests, and protected government information assets.
Prior to landing his role at Gojek, Do was a CISO at Nasdaq-listed real estate investment trust Equinix for more than ten years, where he was responsible for the security of all of the company’s products and services, as well as that of the enterprise. He also held security leadership roles at several tech companies including CenturyLink, TiVo, Exodus and Savvis.
Do started his new position at Gojek in September and reports to Ajey Gore, Gojek Group Chief Technology Officer. He is now based in Singapore.
“Do’s deep expertise will become ever more valuable as his leadership will enable the company to better protect its business, and make the Gojek experience even more secure, reliable and enjoyable for users, said Gojek Group CTO, Ajey Gore, in a statement.
Gojek has been involved in several cases of alleged data leaks and security flaws in the past.
