Cainiao has partnered with 4PX Express, a cross-border e-commerce solutions provider headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong province.

Cainiao Smart Logistics Network, the logistics arm of Alibaba (NYSE: BABA), has launched an international postage service focused on global shipments of “essential items” such as surgical masks, at a time when the COVID-19 pandemic has been affecting delivery efficiency in many countries across the world, according to a press release of Cainiao.

The service will cover over 20 countries and regions, including Europe, the US, UAE, Japan, Singapore, and New Zealand, among others. Customers can book the service via the Cainiao Guoguo app, which serves over 100 million users yearly in China, said the company.

To provide the service, Cainiao has partnered with 4PX Express, a cross-border e-commerce solutions provider headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong province.

According to 4PX Express’s website, the company teams up with a wide variety of logistic companies such as FedEx, UPS, TNT, and Aramex to provide global express services, taking advantage of large shipping volumes to negotiate big discounts.
