Alibaba AI model enables non-invasive screening

Alibaba's Damo Academy has developed an AI model, Coca, that detects colorectal cancer from plain CT scans without bowel preparation. In a study of 27,433 patients, the model reportedly achieved 86.6% sensitivity and 99.8% specificity, identifying five previously missed cases and enabling screening during routine imaging.
