Alibaba sees strong Singles’ Day results

Alibaba’s quick commerce arm Taobao Shangou generated more than 100 million non-food orders from new users during the first two weeks of its Singles’ Day campaign, the company said. The platform, backed by a RMB 50 billion subsidy plan, is emerging as a major growth driver as Alibaba faces weak consumer demand and rising e-commerce competition.
