Chinese media groups including
Tencent, iQiyi, and TVB are expanding use of
AI-generated content. iQiyi has launched an “AI theater” with Oscar-winning cinematographer Peter Pau, Tencent is hosting an "AI short film competition," and TVB has released Hong Kong’s first miniseries featuring AI-generated characters. Analysts expect China’s AI video systems to generate up to USD 1 billion in annual revenue by 2025.
