Thailand will host the inaugural GITEX Digi Health 5.0 Expo-Summit Asia from September 10–12, 2025, in a move that underscores the region’s push toward digital healthcare. Co-located with Medical Fair Thailand, the event aims to bring healthcare professionals and tech leaders together to explore how digital technologies like AI, telemedicine, and blockchain can reshape healthcare delivery across Southeast Asia.
Kaoun International, the international affiliate of Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), is organizing the event, which comes as Thailand’s medical tourism industry continues its rapid rise, projected to grow 42.9% annually from 2024–2030. With the country emerging as a global healthcare destination, the event will leverage this momentum to spotlight innovations that enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
Gernot Ringling, managing director of Messe Dusseldorf Asia, emphasized the strategic importance of this expansion. “Bringing GITEX Digi Health 5.0 from Singapore to Thailand is a strategic move that capitalizes on Thailand’s rapid growth as a global medical tourism hub,” Ringling said. “Extending this footprint allows us to tap into Thailand’s unique healthcare ecosystem and growing demand for digital health innovations.”
The launch in Thailand follows on the heels of the 2024 edition of GITEX Digi Health 5.0, which is taking place in Singapore from September 11–12, 2024, alongside Medical Fair Asia at Marina Bay Sands. Both events are part of a wider strategy by the DWTC to extend its footprint across Asia. This expansion includes the launch of GITEX Asia in April 2025, which aims to position Singapore as a gateway to the region’s tech market.
