STO Express to acquire Cainiao unit

On July 25, STO Express announced it will acquire 100% of Danniao for RMB 362 million. The Cainiao-backed logistics firm provides same-day and next-morning delivery services in China. The deal is expected to bolster STO’s network and service quality, though Cainiao noted the unit accounts for a small portion of its business.
