Chinese clean tech cuts global emissions

China’s 2024 clean energy exports, including solar panels, EVs, and batteries, are expected to cut global carbon emissions by 220 million tons this year, already offsetting their manufacturing footprint, according to a new study. Over their lifetimes, the products will avoid four billion tons of CO2, equal to 1% of global emissions outside China.
