US, China slash tariffs in trade truce

The US and China agreed to cut tariffs for 90 days in a surprise deal aimed at easing trade tensions. US duties on Chinese imports will drop to 30% from 145%, while China will lower its tariffs on US goods to 10% from 125%. The move follows high-level talks in Geneva and lifted global markets.
