Nasdaq-listed Nio also reported record-high deliveries in the same month.

China’s electric vehicle (EV) startups keep on breaking delivery records in November as clean-energy cars are gaining further support from the administration.

Xpeng Motors (NYSE: XPEV) delivered 4,224 units in November, a year-on-year increase of 342% to hit a new record-high, with the sports sedan P7 leading the growth. From January to November, the company shipped a total of 21,341 EVs, representing a 87% jump from the same period in 2019.

Its China peers also announced historical high deliveries for the month: Nio (NYSE: NIO) dispatched 5,291 units, up 109.3% from the same month last year, while Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI), which launched its first model last December, delivered 4,646 units, 25.8% more than in October.

Earlier in the month, the Chinese government announced that it aims to lift the percentage of new energy vehicles as part of the total car sales to 20% by 2025.
