As the first decade in the 21 century is drawing to a close, the year 2019 emerged as an important turning point for China’s tech sector. This year, we saw challenges come from both inside and outside the industry. On one hand, China’s plateaued internet market has largely reshaped the market competition landscape for its local startups. On the other hand, the trade spat between China and the U.S. amid global economic uncertainty also weighed on Chinese tech market sentiment.

That said, while many companies reached a stagnation point in their development paths, there are still those that are fighting for a larger share in the market.
