Enterprise Services

Company:  Pilipa (噼里啪)

Round: Series B, May 2018

Amount: over RMB 100 million (approx. USD 15.7 million)

Investors: Ant Financial, DCM, GSJ Ventures

Profile:

Pilipa provides Business Process as a Service (BPaaS) regarding taxation, incorporation, financial consulting services, etc, via its app.

Founded in 2015, the company claims that it’s serving SMEs in over 200 Chinese cities. Prior to the latest funding round, it has raised a total of over RMB 79 million (approx. USD 12.4 million) in the previous three rounds.

 

Company:  Jiatui (加推)

Round: Series A, May 2018

Amount: RMB 168 million (approx. USD 26.4 million)

Investors: Sequoia Capital China, IDG Capital, GX Capital, JD.com, JD Finance

Profile:

Founded in 2017, the startup provides WeChat mini program-based digital business cards and a SCRM platform where sales personnel and managers can view information about clients.

Jiatui charges 1 yuan per account for its SCRM platform. According to the startup, it has formed partnerships with over 5k companies and plans to use the fresh funds in product R&D.

 

Company:  Cloudwiz (云兴维智)

Round: Series A, May 2018

Amount: tens of millions of yuan

Investors: China Growth Capital

Profile:

Founded in October 2016, Cloudwiz is a developer of monitor software using big data and AI technologies to help enterprises monitor their businesses.

Based in Beijing, the startup has previously raised millions of yuan in an Angel round from Legend Star and FutureCap.

 

Autonomous driving

Company:  COWAROBOT

Round: Series B, May 2018

Amount: RMB 135 million (approx. USD 21.1 million)

Investors: SoftBank China, China Creation Ventures, China Minsheng Investment Group, Infore Capital, SBCVC

Profile:

Founded in 2015, COWAROBOT is a self-driving robot manufacturer. It has two products: smart luggage that follow travelers and self-driving cleaning trolleys.

The startup has previously raised two rounds of financing. Empowered Investment invested in its seed round in February 2016.

 

Education

Company:  Kuaile Zhongzi (快乐种子)

Round: Series Pre-A, May 2018

Amount: tens of millions of yuan

Investors: Happy Elements, Sinovation Ventures

Profile:

Kuaile Zhongzi, meaning ‘happy seed’ in Mandarin, provides critical thinking training to children aged between 3 to 9 by conducting online and offline lessons.

Founded in 2016, the startup previously raised an Angle round worth millions of yuan from Sinovation Ventures in June 2017.
