China’s exports rise 6.3% in May

China’s exports rose 6.3% YoY in May to RMB 2.28 trillion, driven by strong trade with ASEAN, the EU, and Africa. China-Africa trade hit a record RMB 963.2 billion in the first five months. High-tech exports, including EVs and industrial robots, posted strong gains despite tariff pressures, with foreign-invested firms accounting for 29% of total trade.
