<p data-start="134" data-end="536">Ant Digital Technologies launched its AI-powered fintech suite at the Dubai FinTech Summit 2025, introducing Agentar, a zero-code platform for intelligent financial applications, alongside ZOLOZ for digital identity verification and mPaaS for rapid mobile app development. The solutions aim to enhance security, scalability, and efficiency in financial services.</p>

Tencent’s Q1 2025 results show revenue up 13% to RMB 180 billion (USD 25.1 billion), with domestic and international games growing 24% and 23%, respectively. Advertising rose 20%, and fintech services added 5%. The company highlighted early returns from AI deployment in ads and games, and expanded investments in AI tools across the WeChat ecosystem.

Tencent reorganized its Weixin Group (WXG), forming an E-commerce Product Department to drive in-app transactions on WeChat, part of its broader push to expand digital commerce. The Open Platform Department will now focus on WeChat Official Accounts and Mini Programs. The changes aim to bolster Tencent's competitive edge in China’s growing social commerce market.

The Alibaba.com app saw a wave of orders from US buyers following tariff reductions on Chinese goods, briefly becoming the most downloaded shopping app in the US. The company plans to expand local warehousing and accelerate seller support to help Chinese exporters meet rising demand during a 90-day shipping window.

Chinese fitness app Keep, known for its digital workouts and training plans, will roll out an upgraded version of its AI-powered virtual coach “Kaka” later this month. Powered by its proprietary Kinetic.ai model, the assistant offers voice guidance, image recognition, and personalized fitness and diet planning. Keep (3650.HK) shares have risen over 16% in four trading days on investor anticipation.

Shares of BYD rose 5% in Hong Kong after the automaker topped car sales in Singapore for the first time, delivering 3,002 units in the first four months of 2025—surpassing Toyota and Tesla. In April, BYD also outsold Tesla across major European markets including Germany, the UK, France, Italy, and Spain, marking a new milestone in its global expansion.

Kuaishou's Kling series, a lineup of AI-driven video generation models, is rapidly gaining traction on Poe, a leading platform for exploring next-gen AI technologies. Kling 2.0 captured 20.9% of Poe's video AI usage within three weeks of its debut, pushing the Kling family to a 30% market share. In contrast, DeepSeek R1, which peaked at 7% earlier this year, saw its share drop to just 3% by the end of April, highlighting a shift in user preference toward more advanced video solutions.

Yunnan's coffee exports hit RMB 310 million (USD 43 million) in Q1 2025, rising 122.1% year-on-year amid rising global demand for high-quality beans. Producers are scaling up premium processing and expanding international reach, with shipments now headed to markets in the US, Europe, Japan, and Southeast Asia.

Baidu announced plans to introduce its driverless taxi service Apollo Go in Switzerland and Turkey, marking its European debut. In Switzerland, Baidu is partnering with PostAuto, a unit of Swiss Post, to launch testing by year-end. This expansion builds on its successful deployments in Dubai and Hong Kong, as Baidu targets new international markets to extend its autonomous mobility reach.

Sinovac Group and Brazil's Eurofarma have entered a strategic partnership to launch a vaccine production platform in Brazil. Endorsed by President Lula, the collaboration aims to manufacture vaccines locally, bolstering Latin American health security and strengthening regional public health infrastructure. The initiative marks a significant step in expanding vaccine accessibility across the Global South.

<p data-start="102" data-end="496">Midea Medical's subsidiary Wandong Medical, a leading Chinese medical imaging firm, has signed a joint venture agreement with Brazil's VMI Group to locally develop and manufacture MRI, CT, and catheterization lab equipment. Building on 15 years of collaboration, the partnership aims to strengthen Brazil's high-end medtech capabilities and drive expansion into the Latin American market.</p>
