The event is organized in collaboration with Accenture and TheNextWeb.

The Dutch brewing company HEINEKEN has launched its first-ever HR tech-focused competition called HEINEKEN HR Brewhouse and is seeking applications from around the world.

The event, organized in collaboration with Accenture and TheNextWeb, aims to drive tech-enabled innovations within the global HR sector to find solutions to real-world HR challenges.

HEINEKEN HR Brewhouse is centered around four real-life challenges that the company has identified:

  • Recruitment: from making employee referrals easier to sourcing candidates using artificial intelligence. HEINEKEN looks for solutions that can improve recruitment procedures for both candidates and HR.
  • Onboarding and transition: HEINEKEN looks for solutions to make the onboarding process easy, seamless and stress-free.
  • Employee engagement: HEINEKEN looks for solutions to draw actionable insights from employee feedback, understand employee sentiment, and promote company-wide recognition of employee success.
  • Wild Card: This is an open category for solutions that do not fit into any of the above three categories but address other pain points of HR.

Participants signing up for the competition must ensure that their solutions are scalable across the APAC market, including HEINEKEN’s operations in the Philippines, South Korea, Myanmar, East Timor, New Caledonia, Indonesia, Singapore, New Zealand, and Vietnam.

As part of the contest, participants will share and pitch their tailor-made solutions in a corporate environment, having the opportunity to work with senior HEINEKEN management from Asia Pacific region, global HR and global IT departments.

Selected finalists will pitch their solutions to a panel of judges comprising of senior HR and IT executives from HEINEKEN. The finalists will also have the opportunity to connect with HR experts and ecosystem partners like venture capitalists and corporate associates.

The winners of each category will be able to pilot their solutions with selected Heineken subsidiaries in the Asia Pacific region (Singapore, Indonesia, and Vietnam). Some innovations will be selected to be rolled out regionally and even globally.

HEINEKEN HR Brewhouse will be hosted in Singapore on October 4th, 2019. It is accepting applications from now until September 23rd (23:59, GMT +8).
