The Singapore Space and Technology Association is set to hold the Global Space and Technology Convention (GSTC) 2020 from February 5 to 7 at the Grand Hyatt Singapore.

This annual event has brought together government representatives, entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, and other ecosystem stakeholders since 2008. Organized by the Singapore Space and Technology Association (SSTA), the event will give you the latest updates about the space tech and satellite communication scene in Asia. The purpose of the event is to create a platform for the fast-evolving Asian space industry.

In its 12th year, GSTC will bring over 800 delegates, 60 speakers, and 300 companies from more than 38 countries. Several key learning topics will be discussed during the convention, among which include artificial intelligence to create value for space, global satellite industry trends, Internet-of-Things in space, 3D printing in space, the role of space in urban mobility, and many others.

Among the confirmed keynote speakers and panellists are:

  • Alexander Ridgeway, systems engineer of AGI
  • Craig Gravelle, director of General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS)
  • Azlikamil Napiah, director general of Malaysian Space Agency (MYSA)
  • Giuliu Ranzo, chief executive officer of Avio
  • Jeanne Medvedeva, commercial director of Exolaunch
  • Yasunori Yamazaki, the chief business officer of Axelspace

Singapore’s senior minister and coordinating minister for national security, Teo Chee Hean, will also attend the event as the guest of honor, according to the GSTC official website.

GSTC 2020 will hold various mainstay programs such as workshops for professionals in the space industry, displays and exhibits of leading technology, a start-up zone where selected early stage developers pitch their ideas and innovations, as well as one-on-one meetings with hundreds of like-minded professionals and industry players via GSTC’s business matching platform.
