The State Post Bureau predicts the total parcel volume for Singles’ Day to reach 3 billion.

China’s postal and express delivery companies handled nearly 4 billion parcels between November 1 and November 11, 16.8% of which were processed on the final day, said the State Post Bureau in an early Thursday statement, as the country’s major e-commerce platforms ended another “Singles’ Day” with record-breaking sales.

The 675 million parcels on November 11 represent a year-on-year growth of 26.2%, and a new daily record for China.

The Post Bureau predicts the total parcel volume to reach 3 billion when all orders have been delivered. During these days, the average daily express business volume is reaching 490 million items, which is about twice the normal workload of the logistics system.
